Padel

There is nothing that brings people together like padel. Serious! It may seem weird, but there's just something about it. Padel convinces with its simplicity and its very high fun factor. Padel is a very social sport. It is always played in doubles. It is easy to learn, with a short introduction you can quickly start playing. The sport is the combination of tennis and squash and is great for all ages and abilities. The 'cage' is a third the size of a tennis court and is enclosed with fencing and glass walls that all participate in the game.

Try Padel, you might have a talent..

Padel is the second most popular sport in Spain. The small tennis courts can therefore be found everywhere in a kind of glass cage. Padel originated in Acapulco in the late 1960s. The man who invented the ball sport was Enrique Corcuera. This wealthy businessman did not have enough space to build a tennis court. So he came up with a similar sport and decided to build a 10 by 20 meter track with walls 3 to 4 meters high.

It was mainly the Mexican elite who played this new ball sport until Hohenlohe introduced it to Spain with the help of King Juan Carlos and Monolo Santana an ex-wimbledon winner.

Meanwhile, padel is the fastest growing sport in the world. Like myself, many former athletes have developed themselves as coaches in Padel through training in Spain and training in the Netherlands.
